"FAIR HOUSING: WE ARE ALL PART OF THE PUZZLE"
2012 Poster Contest for 4th, 5th & 6th Grade Students
April is Fair Housing Month and the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS, Inc. is recognizing this event with a poster contest.
Rules:
- This contest is open to all students in grades 4, 5 and 6 within the jurisdiction of the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS, which includes the counties of Cole, Callaway, Moniteau and Osage.
- The contest will be judged based on each grade level listed above.
- Posters must represent the theme, "Fair Housing: We Are All Part of the Puzzle". Posters may be rendered in any art medium, including markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc., but may not exceed 18x24 inches in size. All work must be original - no copies of work done by others.
- Students must print their name, grade, school, home mailing address, and home phone number on the back of the poster entry.
- All entries must be submitted to Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS, 1906 Bubba Lane, Jefferson City, no later than Friday, March 30, 2012.
- All entries may be reproduced, displayed, exhibited or distributed by the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS as it sees fit.
- First, second and third place winners will be selected from each age group. Savings bonds up to $100.00 will be awarded. All entrants will receive participation awards.
- The winning entries will be determined by a panel of judges whose decision is final. Criteria for judging are adherence to the theme, originality of concept and design, appeal, technique and craftsmanship.
- Winners will be announced in early April. All entries will be display during the month of April at a location to be determined.

On April 18, 2011, the students were recognized at a City Council meeting and awarded their savings bonds. All students participating will receive ribbons and participation awards.
